We here at Casa Ybel Resort always adore working with Kelly McWilliams and her crew from Weddings by Socialites.
This last Monday, July 20, 2009, we were fortunate enough to work with her on the most adorable little summer wedding for Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy!!
Kelly and her team are all about the details, and made no exception this time around; they designed such a great little wedding, just dripping with pinks, yellows, ribbon, and small hints of the beach everywhere! This wedding was just perfect for the summer time, and for this adorable young couple. Kelly and her team also prove that you can have a FANTASTIC wedding on a simple budget! That is one of the major advantages of working with a local wedding planner. They seem to be wizards at taking a little budget and simple expectations, and turning it into the wedding you would plan if money wasn't an issue! The day was also captured in video by AMC Video Productions, and by Julie Goodacre Photography, two AMAZING vendors that we love as well!!
This couple began the day at Casa Ybel, with an intimate ceremony on our beach. After some family photos, the guests made their way up to our Waterfront Dining Room to enojoy some cocktails and the sunset overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
They began the meal with a yummy Sanibel Sunset Cocktail (made with rum, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and a touch of grenadine), followed by the guests choice of Herb Roasted chicken breast with potato puree, natural chicken jus, herb roasted potatoes and vegetable medley or Blackened Snapper with Coconut Infused Jasmine Rice, and a Citrus Beurre Blanc. To finish the meal, the bride and groom cut into there oh-so-adorable cake from Masons Bakery, made with yellow cake and chocolate fudge filling.

Casa Ybel Resort was fortunate to host the wedding of Carolyn and Todd Skowrorski on July 5th, 2009. They were an amazing couple, and it was such a pleasure working with them. Carolyn and Todd began their day with a beautiful ceremony on Casa Ybel Resort's beach, followed by a wonderful reception in Thistle Lodge's Waterfront Room. This couple had so many personal touches for their day, including table numbers with pictures of their adorable dog, a hand made wooden cake topper, and monogrammed mirror at the reception space, which made the day even more special.
